What is free, and what does the unlock add?
Classic, plain mahjong solitaire, is free forever. You can also play the first two digs of a real Standard run, shop included, to see what the rest is like.
One purchase of $4.99 (or the same price in your currency) unlocks the full dig: Standard runs with charms, winds and bosses, Casual mode, every dig and stake, and the daily dig. There are no ads, no subscriptions and nothing else to buy.
How do I buy it?
Tap NEW RUN, then STANDARD → UNLOCK, or CASUAL → UNLOCK THE FULL DIG. It is also offered at the end of the free trial, on DAILY DIG, and under OPTIONS → UNLOCK FULL DIG. Buy it at the end of the trial and the run carries on.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open OPTIONS from the title screen and tap RESTORE. It is free and takes a few seconds with a connection.
iPhone
Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account that bought the unlock. It works on every iPhone signed in to that account.
Android
Make sure the Play Store is signed in to the Google account that bought the unlock. The game also checks with Google Play every time it opens, so the unlock usually comes back by itself.
Can my family use the unlock?
On iPhone, yes: Family Sharing is on for the unlock, and family members restore it the same way. On Android, no: Google Play's Family Library doesn't share in-app purchases.
My Android purchase says pending
Some payment methods, such as cash at a shop or a slow card, take a while to settle. The unlock arrives as soon as Google Play confirms the payment, while the game is open or the next time you open it. You don't need to buy again.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. On iPhone, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, ask Google Play from your order history in the Play Store, or see Google's refund help. A refunded unlock is removed the next time the game opens.
Where are my saves?
On your phone only. Jadewind autosaves after every match, so you can close it at any time and pick up with CONTINUE DIG. There is no cloud sync, so deleting the game deletes your runs, settings and Almanac. The purchase itself is never lost: restore it as above.
Moving to a new phone
iPhone
Your iPhone's backup, to iCloud or a computer, includes Jadewind. Set the new iPhone up from that backup and your progress comes with it.
Android
Progress stays on the old phone, since Android's backup doesn't include it. On the new phone, install Jadewind and tap RESTORE to get the unlock back.
I'm stuck on a board
Every board is dealt solvable. Tap HINT for the next good pair, UNDO to take a match back, or SHUFFLE to reshuffle the tiles still standing, while you have shuffles left. The ? button in a round, and GUIDE on the title screen, explain the rules.
Can I play offline?
Yes, all of it. Only buying or restoring the unlock needs a connection.
There's no sound
Check SOUND and MUSIC in OPTIONS. On iPhone, the game follows the silent switch, so turn that off. On Android, it plays at media volume, so turn that up.
Colours are hard to tell apart
Turn on SUIT MARKS in OPTIONS. Each suit then gets its own shape in the tile corner, so the suits never rely on colour alone.
What does back do on Android?
Back closes whatever is open on top, and on a board it opens the pause menu. On the title screen it leaves the game, with your run saved. On the end-of-dig screens and while a pack opens it does nothing, so a stray swipe can't cost you anything.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhones with iOS 15 or later, and Android phones with Vulkan graphics, which covers most phones of the last several years. Google Play offers it only to phones that can run it. There is no iPad or Android tablet version yet: the game is laid out for a phone held upright.
