This policy covers the Jadewind game for iPhone and for Android, and this website. Both are published by Tennnis, an app studio in Oslo, Norway.

No data collection

Jadewind has no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party software that reports what you do. We don't collect your name, email address, contacts, location, device identifiers or how you play. There are no Jadewind servers, and the game sends nothing about you or your play to us or to anyone else. This is the basis for the "Data Not Collected" label on the App Store and the Data safety section on Google Play.

No account

You never sign in, and you never give us an email address or any other detail to play.

On your phone

Runs in progress, settings, the unlock and your Almanac are saved on your phone, in the game's own private storage. We can't see them. Deleting the game deletes them.

iPhone

Your iPhone's own backups, to iCloud or to a computer, may include Jadewind's progress, under Apple's terms. That is Apple's storage, not ours.

Android

Jadewind opts out of Android's backup, so its progress is not copied to your Google account.

Permissions

Jadewind never asks you for a permission, on either platform, and never uses your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.

On Android, the store page lists a few permissions that Android grants without asking: vibration, for the haptics you can turn off in Options, and Google Play billing, internet and network state, which Google's purchase library declares so that buying and restoring the unlock can reach Google Play. The game uses them for nothing else.

Purchases

Jadewind is free to download, with one optional purchase that unlocks the full game. On iPhone, buying, restoring and Family Sharing are handled by the App Store. On Android, buying and restoring are handled by Google Play. Apple and Google process the payment under their own terms, and we never see your payment details.

To know whether you own the unlock, the game asks the App Store or Google Play on your phone, and remembers the answer on your phone so it still works offline. Apple and Google keep the record of your purchase in your Apple Account or Google account, as they do for any purchase. They give us anonymous sales figures for accounting, never who bought.

PRIVACY and SUPPORT in the game's Options open this website in your browser. Apart from those links and the App Store or Google Play purchase above, the game makes no connections at all.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties: its fonts, images and video are served from here. It is hosted by Cloudflare, whose servers handle requests as any web host does.

If you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your message. Ask us and we'll delete the conversation.

Children

Because Jadewind collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children either.

Your rights

Data protection law, including the GDPR, gives you the right to see, correct and delete personal data held about you. Jadewind holds none, so there is nothing to request, apart from any email you have sent us, which we'll show you or delete on request.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date, before it takes effect.
